Some Derby County supporters have been suggesting that the club should allow Mason Bennett to leave the club this month, amid interest from Millwall according to the Daily Mail.
Bennett has endured a difficult season so far, with the 23-year-old only managing to make seven appearances in the Championship for the Rams, the last of which came in their 1-0 win at home to Preston North End back in November where he picked up an ankle injury which has ruled him out for the last few months.
The attacker was an important figure for the Rams under Frank Lampard last season scoring three goals and assisting four in 33 Championship appearances as he helped Derby reach the play-off final, but he has struggled to make the same impact this term under Phillip Cocu.
QUIZ: Can you name these 18 ex-Derby County players?
The 23-year-old is into the last year of his contract, but the Rams are reportedly in talks with Bennett over the possibility of extending his stay at the club, which could suggest Cocu still sees Bennett as having a future at the club.
However, former Derby manager Gary Rowett is now thought to be interested in bringing Bennett to Millwall this month, as he looks to continue the London club’s positive form since he took over from Neil Harris earlier in the season.
Here then, we take a look at how Derby supporters have reacted to this latest interest in Bennett on social media…
