A disappointing and turbulent season for Norwich City has seen a change in manager as Norwich City's hopes of reaching the play-offs were severely damaged, by the heavy defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.

After surviving a poor run of form Alex Neil may have felt that he had until the end of the season to demonstrate why he was still the right man to take Norwich City forwards, however, Alex Neil was relieved of his managerial duties as Norwich City opted to go in a different direction.

One of the main downfalls of Alex Neil was his inability to revamp the squad and transition the side from the Premier League to the Championship.

The board may feel that revamp and reinvigoration is needed with Alex Neil's successor more capable of bringing about that change.

Some Norwich City players have fallen to the periphery of the squad and have had to go out on loan in their pursuit of regular first team football.

In what appears to be a crucial summer transfer window for Norwich City, it may be a time that some Norwich City squad players assess their own future at the club.

FLW writer Elliott Wheat-Bowen looks at TWO Norwich City players who may feel that it is time to leave as their careers are at a real crossroads....

Kyle Lafferty

After firing Italian side Palermo to promotion, Kyle Lafferty attracted the attention of a number of English clubs including Norwich City.

Norwich City won the race to sign the former Rangers striker, however, since joining the Canaries, Lafferty has struggled to make an impression.

Despite being in prolific form at international level, Kyle Lafferty has been unable to replicate his goalscoring form for Norwich which has seen him unable to force his way into Norwich's first team ahead of Cameron Jerome and Nelson Oliviera.

Instead, Kyle Lafferty has had to spend stints on loan at Championship side Birmingham City and also Turkish side Caykur Rizespor.

As Kyle Lafferty will turn 30 in September, the Northern Irish striker may feel that his career is at a real crossroad and it may be time to leave on a permanent basis.

Tony Andreu

Another player who has struggled to make an impression, since joining Norwich City from Hamilton Academical, is Tony Andreu.

After joining Norwich in the summer of 2015, Tony Andreu has spent two separate season-long loan spells at Rotherham United and Dundee United.

Whilst on loan at Dundee United, the advanced midfielder has impressed as he has scored nine times and provided two assists in just twenty-one Scottish Championship appearances.

As the 28-year-old Frenchman has only made six appearances since joining Norwich, Andreu may feel that he is living on borrowed time at Norwich City.

At the age of 28, Andreu's career has reached a real crossroads, Tony Andreu may feel that it is time to leave Norwich City in pursuit of regular first-team football.
