Wolverhampton Wanderers are going from strength-to-strength in the Sky Bet Championship, with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side opening up a 12-point lead over the course of the festive period to further flex their muscles in the race for promotion.

Nuno has already began to reshape his playing squad early in the January transfer window, with Rafa Mir arriving at Molineux on a four-and-a-half year deal from Valencia, whilst there has also been a number of exits.

Sylvain Deslandes and Conor Ronan have both made a loan switch to Portsmouth, with Prince Oniangue has also departed Molineux on a temporary basis, moving to French outfit, Angers.

Further arrivals are to be expected at Molineux this month, which in turn is likely to mean that Nuno will be trimming the fringe players from his squad before February.

With that in mind, here is a look at TWO players who could be axed in the coming weeks…

Ben Marshall

Marshall’s opportunities have been limited this season due to the quality ahead of him in his favoured positions, and according to Tim Nash, Wolves will look to move the 26-year-old on this month.

Nuno has limited the midfielder to just nine first-team appearances this season, and Wolves will want to find Marshall a new employer as quickly as possible this month.

Despite the midfielder’s omission this season, there is every chance a host of clubs will be interested in offering Marshall a route out of Molineux this month.

Bright Enobakhare

Enobakhare, like Marshall, has struggled for first-team opportunities this season, with the forward behind Leo Bonatini in the pecking order at Molineux.

The 19-year-old has struggled to displace Bonatini, and Mir’s arrival will make it even more difficult for the youngster to gain a chance.

Wolves will not want to lose Enobakhare permanently this month, but should offer the forward a chance to move out on-loan.
