Many Stoke City supporters have been debating whether Jack Butland should leave the club in the January transfer window, with many in agreement that they would allow him to leave.

Butland has endured a challenging first half of the season, after he missed out on a move back to the Premier League during the summer, with the keeper starting the campaign in poor form and making some individual errors which cost the Potters at vital time during matches.

That has contributed to Stoke's poor start to the season, with mistakes during defeats against Preston North End and Nottingham Forest preventing the Potters from going onto pick up some vital extra points, as they managed to win just two of their opening 14 Championship matches leading to the club parting company with Nathan Jones.

The keeper had found himself out of the side towards the end of Jones' time in charge at the Bet365 Stadium, with Adam Federici being preferred ahead of him, but Michael O'Neill has since brought him back into the starting line-up and Butland's form has improved over the last few weeks.

However, Butland has been linked with a January move to West Ham United, who are interested in bringing in a goalkeeper to help them cope without the club's injured number one Lukasz Fabianski.

The keeper has been urged to make the move in January, with Danny Mills speaking to the Football Insider suggesting that a move away could help him get his career back on track, saying: "He was England’s No.1 at one point, he’s a big physical presence, he has made some high-profile mistakes hence why he has slipped away from the England scene and down into the Stoke scene.

"But of course, he is undoubtedly a solid goalkeeper and sometimes you just need a change just because it resets you.

"It resets your confidence, it resets your belief in your self."

Here then, we take a look at what Stoke fans have had to say about whether they would let Butland leave, following Mills' comments...
