Sheffield Wednesday need to get back to challenging for promotion with the talented squad they have.
Last season was a huge disappointment, although there were extenuating circumstances which affected the team strength so the players and Jos Luhukay can’t really be blamed for that.
This season will be pivotal for Luhukay, though, because he will have a squad that is nearly at full strength depending on if players are able to recover before the start of next season, as well as the chance to bring in players who suit his system.
The pressure will be on this season and the team have to deliver, with Luhukay the one likely to lose out if they don’t. Wednesday should only be a few changes away from being serious challengers next season due to having a strong starting XI, though.
