QPR are having one of their best spells of the season and Ian Holloway seems to have really found his groove at the helm of Loftus Road, particularly after the 5-1 win over Rotherham United this weekend.

The R's really put Rotherham to the sword this weekend in a real show of dominance, which marked just how far they've come under Holloway in a short space of time.

Had the former Blackpool man been appointed earlier on this campaign, many are wondering whether the Hoops could have made a push for the play-offs.

Their January signings have really performed since making the move to Loftus Road and on the whole, QPR look a much better outfit going forward too.

But despite making some seriously positive changes over the past few weeks, there's still a couple of things that need to be resolved at the club if the R's are to make some seriously big strides going forward.

So with that in mind, here's TWO rumbling issues that need to be resolved at Loftus Road...

The deadwood needs to go

QPR's tumble from financial big-boys to budget spenders was well documented during Tony Fernandes' early days as chairman but still, there's players floating around the first-team that need to be axed this summer.

The likes of Mackie, Emmanuel-Thomas, Syalla and Henry have all struggled for game-time under Holloway and its about time they got the boot from the White City.

This QPR side looks like they're going places and to continue their push, they need to get rid of the deadwood that isn't going to help their cause going forward.

They need a striker who can score goals

Having a striker that can score goals week-in, week-out is the difference at this level and it's what's served the likes of Leeds United so well this campaign.

Chris Wood has been a real revelation for the Whites and for a team like QPR, it's been what's held them back from really breaking into the top-half, if not the top-six.

Sylla really hasn't scored enough goals having signed this summer and the arrival of Matt Smith was a little too late to have a massive impact.

This summer, QPR need to find a real goalscorer from somewhere if possible.
