Six years ago, Derby County beat Brighton and Hove Albion to book their place in the Championship play-off final, and Will Hughes has now reflected on that impressive result.

The Rams went into the second leg 2-1 up after a fantastic away win at the AMEX thanks to a Chris Martin penalty and Tomasz Kuszczak own goal.

And then, under the lights at Pride Park, Steve McClaren's side ran rampant, winning 4-1 and 6-2 on aggregate thanks to goals from Will Hughes, Chris Martin, George Thorne and Jeff Hendrick.

Hughes opened the scoring on the night with an audacious flick, one of only 12 goals he scored during a lengthy stay in the East Midlands.

The 25-year-old remains an adored figure at Pride Park, though, making over 180 appearances for the Rams before sealing a £8m move to Watford.

Hughes has since reacted to Derby's throwback post, and naturally, many fans have begged him to return to the club.
