Birmingham City released a statement today with regards to their ongoing dispute over the transfer embargo placed on them by the Football League.

The Blues were found to not be complying with Financial Fair Play regulations last season, just before manager Garry Monk took charge of the club.

In the statement, the club say: "Unfortunately and disappointingly the EFL are currently refusing to allow us to make additions which would enable us to strengthen the Manager's squad.

"We are hopeful that a satisfactory agreement can be reached with the EFL as soon as possible to help ensure our continued competitiveness in the Championship."

So far the Blues' only signing remains Union Berlin left-back Kristian Pedersen, who moved to St Andrew's for around £2million.

But not even he is allowed to turn out for the club until he is registered by the EFL.

Unsurprisingly, the Birmingham fans are not best pleased with the situation the club have got themselves into.

Here is a selection of reaction from the fans...
