Time is up: The Sheff Utd players surely edging closer to a Bramall Lane exit

Chris Wilder’s side couldn’t have asked for a better start to the season, 12 games into their league campaign, Sheffield United occupy top spot in the Championship.

The Blades are unbeaten in their last five matches and will go into their crunch match away to Derby County after the international break full of confidence.

After their narrow 1-0 win over relegation threatened Hull City, it made it four wins in a row for Wilder’s side, and with the strikeforce of Billy Sharp and David McGoldrick already netting 13 goals between them, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Blades maintain their place at the top of the Championship.

The club have made a rapid rise to the top, after only being promoted from League 1 two seasons ago, and as part of the re-building process, Wilder’s side does contain a number of players who are deemed surplus to requirements.
