Time is up: The Birmingham players surely edging closer to a St. Andrew’s exit

Birmingham City are finding form having made a solid yet unspectacular start to their Championship campaign.

After battling relegation last term and struggling to make signings in the summer due to factors such as Financial Fair Play and transfer embargoes, they were left with a weak squad and little hope of success this season.

But after clinching only their second league win of the campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory over Rotherham United at the weekend, Garry Monk’s men remain unbeaten in their previous eight league outings, and sit in 17th place after twelve league outings.

Whilst they haven’t been tearing teams apart or troubling the top six, they’ve looked organised and solid at the back, meanwhile in Lukas Jutkiewicz, they’ve found an unlikely goal scoring hero following his hat-trick at the weekend.

Who knows how the Blues will get on this season? Under Monk they have a manager who knows how to avoid defeat and will get the most out of his players for the large part, and with the January transfer window drawing closer by the day, maybe he needs to think about trimming his squad.

With that being said, here, we take a look at some players who will surely be edging closer to an exit from St. Andrews in winter.
