Birmingham City are finding form having made a solid yet unspectacular start to their Championship campaign.

After battling relegation last term and struggling to make signings in the summer due to factors such as Financial Fair Play and transfer embargoes, they were left with a weak squad and little hope of success this season.

But after clinching only their second league win of the campaign with a convincing 3-1 victory over Rotherham United at the weekend, Garry Monk's men remain unbeaten in their previous eight league outings, and sit in 17th place after twelve league outings.

Whilst they haven’t been tearing teams apart or troubling the top six, they’ve looked organised and solid at the back, meanwhile in Lukas Jutkiewicz, they’ve found an unlikely goal scoring hero following his hat-trick at the weekend.

Who knows how the Blues will get on this season? Under Monk they have a manager who knows how to avoid defeat and will get the most out of his players for the large part, and with the January transfer window drawing closer by the day, maybe he needs to think about trimming his squad.

With that being said, here, we take a look at some players who will surely be edging closer to an exit from St. Andrews in winter.

Kuszczak hasn't made an appearance for Blues since last November, and has been pushed out of the team by Lee Camp as well as youngster Connal Trueman, who has featured twice this term.

The Polish international is now 36-years old, and will be surely looking for a move away from Birmingham to get some game-time in the latter stages of his career.

With Blues' financial problems seemingly hanging by a thread, then an option may be to end Omar Bogle's loan spell and send him back to Cardiff City, as he's bound to be on a high wage.

Bogle is a physical centre forward who usually operates as a target man, but that role is being owned by Jutkiewicz who is in a fine run of form at the minute.

He’s not Championship standard and Birmingham have found that out after failing to find the back of net in ten appearances this season.
