Aston Villa fans were in a good mood this evening on the back of seeing their team run out 2-1 winners at QPR to send them fifth in the Championship table and well and truly still in the hunt for promotion.

The Villans were good value for the win after coming from behind, and despite two goal Albert Adomah being the man in the spotlight, plenty of other Villa players put in an excellent shift to see their team over the line and to three more crucial points.

One player who had a particularly impressive game was Irish midfielder Conor Hourihane, who bossed the midfield for the most part and appears to be finding his feet with the club following his move from Barnsley last year.

Hourihane took to Twitter following the game to pass on his thanks to the Villa fans, and as usual this prompted quite the response from the Villa Park faithful, who were quick to praise their man.
