Brentford succumbed to only their second league defeat of the season after a 3-1 defeat away at Derby County on Saturday afternoon.

Dean Smith's men started the game perfectly, after Henrik Dalsgaard opened the scoring for the London side after a minute, before three goals in fourteen minutes for the Rams from Harry Wilson, David Nugent and Mason Mount blew the Bees away before half-time.

The Bees, who had sat in 2nd position before the encounter at Pride Park, now sit 7th in the Championship table after four wins, three draws and two defeats.

Dean Smith's men now have the chance to forget about the weekend's defeat, and enjoy themselves with a trip to the Emirates as they face Arsenal in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night, before facing struggling Reading at home on Saturday afternoon.

Here, we take a look at two Brentford players who should be dropped after the defeat to Derby...

It's hard to really drop anyone from the Brentford starting XI after such an impressive unbeaten run, but McEachran didn't have the greatest of games against Derby and perhaps a change in midfield is needed.

Kamohelo Mokotjo is a more than adequate replacement for McEachran, and maybe that is a move Smith could consider.

After a string of impressive performances, Sawyers may require a rest from first-team action, and Alan Judge is a more than suitable replacement for the 26-year old.

Brentford have a squad blessed with attacking quality, and this is more than evident in this case with Judge potentially coming into the frame.
