Many congratulations to Brighton and Hove Albion, who won promotion this week and will enjoy their first season in the Premier League next year.
The Seagulls were one of the favourites to go up despite a disappointing end to last year’s campaign which saw them drop into the play offs on the final day after losing to Middlesbrough.
Knocked out by Sheffield Wednesday, their promotion dream was over, and it’s to the credit of manager Chris Hughton and all of his players to bounce back in such stunning style, and look like title winners in waiting.
With the help of Championship player of the season Anthony Knockaert and stunning finishes like EFL Goal of the season winner Steve Sidwell’s strike vs Bristol City, they’ve achieved their goal and face a busy summer ahead.
There will, of course, be casualties in the squad as there are always players who aren’t Premier League quality, so with that in mind here are two who Brighton should axe this summer…
