Queens Park Rangers fell to their first defeat in five league games at the weekend, losing 2-0 to promotion contenders West Bromwich Albion at Loftus Road.

The R's into Saturday's clash with the Baggies bound to be feeling full of confidence, after picking up four league wins on the bounce.

Sitting firmly inside the play-off spots ahead of the weekend's encounter, optimism was flowing around the London club, but Mark Warburton's side failing to extend their winning run to five games.

After a quiet first-half, Nathan Ferguson opened the scoring for Albion after 53 minutes, following a mazy run and a calm finish.

The R's' afternoon went from bad to worse after that, with defender Yoann Barbet being sent off two minutes before Matheus Pereira netted a free-kick, to double the Baggies' lead.

That was enough for Slaven Bilic's side to go top of the Championship after the win in London, and after the game, QPR fans took to social media to criticise Joe Lumley.

The R's goalkeeper was the subject of criticism after Pereira's goal, with many saying that he could have kept it out of the net.
