Tiago Silva has sent a message to Nottingham Forest fans on social media, following the Reds' 1-0 win over Wigan Athletic at the City Ground yesterday.

The Portuguese ace has made 24 league appearances for Forest so far this season and has played a key role in the Reds' encouraging start to their campaign under Sabri Lamouchi.

The 26-year-old came off the bench during the second half against Wigan yesterday and made an instant impact, as his in-swinging corner was headed into the net by his compatriot Tobias Figueiredo for the winning goal.

After five matches without a win, Forest have now won back-to-back games for the first time since the start of November. The result also sees the Reds climb to fifth in the Championship table and means that they will finish 2019 inside the play-off places.

Following the game, Silva has taken to social media to reflect on the victory. With a message on his personal

The Verdict

Forest have made an encouraging start to the season under Lamouchi. Even though they suffered a bit of a blip recently, they're still in a promising position in the league table and back-to-back wins is a great way to finish the year.

There's still a long way to go in the promotion race, but the Reds' start to the campaign under Lamouchi has given fans at the City Ground plenty of reasons to feel optimistic going into the second half of the season.
