When Reading signed George Puscas from Inter Milan during the summer transfer window, it was seen as one that could be an iconic one.

The 23-year-old arrived with a huge reputation as somebody who could really go on to big things in the future, so Reading fans were understandably delighted with the acquisition.

So, with the halfway point in the season approaching, how has he got on?

Here, we look at THREE words that sum up his time with Reading so far...

Inconsistent

There is little doubt that the Romanian has lacked consistency since making the move to the Madejski.

Six goals in 18 appearances is far from disastrous, especially in your first season in English football, but when you consider he has only found the net in three separate matches, you can see where the inconsistencies lie.

It is something that he will need to address in the second half of the season to really have the debut campaign of his dreams.

Tantalising

When he has shown his class, however, Puscas has shown that he can easily be one of the best forwards in the second-tier.

His hat-trick against Wigan two weeks ago was simply stunning with his second goal especially encapsulating exactly what Reading fans will have been hoping to see from him on a regular basis.

So whilst he can frustrate, there has certainly been enough from the 23-year-old to keep the fans hooked and waiting for his next moment of magic, knowing he still has his best years ahead of him.

Worrying

You could argue that his time at the club could be cause for concern for the Royals.

Whilst his inconsistencies have stopped him from truly shining so far this season, it is clear that when he does find that consistency that he will attract a serious amount of attention.

It may, therefore, be a case of Reading fans having to enjoy him whilst they can. Having come from Inter Milan, Puscas will clearly be keen to get back to a similar level, something he is very unlikely to do with Reading.
