Three wingers Newcastle United should look to sign this summer

Published

on

It is set to be a very tough season back in the Championship for Newcastled United but by keeping hold of manager Rafa Benitez they have set the foundations in place for a bounce straight back into the Premier League.

Benitez has moved quickly to add strength to his squad with goalkeeper Matz Sels joining Gent, striker Dwight Gayle signing from Crystal Palace, and attacking midfielder Matt Ritchie being acquired from Bournemouth for a total of £27 million.

The Toon Army have also seen veteran centre back Steven Taylor and January signing Andros Townsend depart the club on a free transfer and to Crystal Palace respectively, with the club taking £13 million for the sale of Townsend.

Wingers have become a priority for Benitez as the club looks to adopt a wide passing game this season. Football League World writer Steve Day has a look at which three players in that position should be brought to Newcastle by Benitez.
