Bradford City and Oxford United are two clubs currently involved in a fierce relegation scrap at the bottom of League One and will be looking to steal a march on those around them during the remainder of the January window.

The Bantams currently sit second bottom of the table in 23rd place but just three points behind Oxford United who sit one place outside the relegation zone.

And it looks like Karl Robinson's side are keen to nab a player from their relegation rival's with Bantams' midfielder Josh Wright attracting his interest.

Wright only made the move to Valley Parade in the summer but has been out of the matchday squad since the end of November.

The 30-year-old was handed the captain's armband at the start of the season by former manager Michael Collins but has seemingly fallen out of favour with current boss David Hopkin.

But if he were to leave the Yorkshire club, who should they look to bring in in his place?

Here are THREE options...

James Dunne

A similar player to Wright, Dunne has plenty of experience and that could be crucial in a relegation scrap.

He has played consistently well for Swindon Town so far this season and would be an astute, if short-term, signing.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, it is a realistic option.

Mark O'Hara

The Posh midfielder got off to a flyer earlier in the season but has fallen out of favour in recent weeks.

But with four goals to his name, it is clear that he offers something in the middle of the park and it would be well worth Hopkin's time making an enquiry.

Jacob Mellis

Mellis has become a key part of Mansfield Town's impressive season.

Playing 23 League Two games and bagging two goals and three assists, he is somebody that Bradford should definitely be eyeing as a Wright replacement.

With his contract expiring in the summer, Mansfield could be tempted to cash in now.
