An unbelievable season has unfolded at the MEMS Priestfield Stadium this season.

With most, if not all Gills supporters in dreamland and gob smacked at the realistic chance of promotion to the Championship.

Justin Edinburgh’s first full season at the Gills has brought consistency, hunger and energy to the squad and their supporters. Medway is buzzing once again and would love to see the blues back in the second tier of English football.

It hasn’t just been down to Edinburgh for an incredible season so far, also David Kerslake’s input and involvement can not go a miss. Brought in to play deputy to Edinburgh, Kerslake has brought a breath of experience to the camp.

At the start of the season Edinburgh brought in two loanees from last season, Max Ehmer and Bradley Garmston on three-year contracts. Two players that was wanted by higher opposition, Gills supporters started to believe they could have a successful season and better their previous campaign. Even though most bookmakers had Gillingham down as third favourites for relegation.

Boasting the best home record in League One this season with 43 points, if Gills were a little more consistent on the road they could be amongst the top two. Dropping points away from home at the likes of Walsall, Doncaster and Wigan (with 0-2 leads in all three games) could cost the Kent outfit an automatic promotion place come the end of the season.

Gills fans Jake Allchin has selected three players who the club should get in, and three the club may have to offload in the summer….
