It was remarkable deadline day for Blackburn Rovers, as they completed the signings of no fewer than four new players for the coming campaign.

After Leeds left-back Barry Douglas and Norwich midfielder Tom Trybull completed season-long loan moves to Ewood Park, goalkeeper Aynsley Pears completed a permanent move from Middlesbrough.

Rovers then completed their business for the day, with the recruitment of winger Harvey Elliott from Liverpool.

The 17-year-old, who featured twice for Jurgen Klopp's side during their Premier League title winning campaign, has also joined Tony Mowbray's side on a season-long loan, with Sky Sports' Transfer Centre (16/10, 15:12), suggesting Liverpool had not been planning to let Elliott leave this summer, until they saw the pitch made by Blackburn for the player.

Taking to Twitter to react to news of their club's latest arrival, plenty of Blackburn fans were understandably delighted with the signing of Elliott.

Here, we take a look at what some of those supporters had to say.
