Thomas Sandgaard insists that Charlton Athletic need to turn their fortunes around after suffering another defeat in League One.

The Addicks have got off to their worst ever start to a league season, picking up only six points from their opening 10 matches.

Nigel Adkins' side fell to their sixth defeat of the campaign last night, with Bolton Wanderers thumping them 4-1 at the Valley.

Charlton did go ahead on the night through Josh Davison, but a capitulation saw Dapo Afolayan, Kieran Lee and Antoni Sarcevic turn the game around for Bolton.

There were calls for Adkins to be sacked as the pressure continues to mount on the manager, and it remains to be seen what decision the club take regarding the 56-year-old.

Taking to Twitter after the game, the club's owner, Thomas Sandgaard, sent out a very simple message:

The Verdict

When it rains, it pours, and life isn't good for Adkins at Charlton right now.

When you are on a bad run of form, the worst possible thing to do is to be embarassed and lose heavily on home soil, and they just capitulated last night after a bright start.

The fans are against Adkins and it seems like a decision on his future is inevitable, but whether Sandgaard still believes he is the right man is the important thing and the only thing that will matter.
