Brentford have seen a mixed start to their Championship campaign, with the Bees having picked up three wins, two draws and four losses from their first nine games this season.

Up next for the Bees is a home game against Bristol City at Griffin Park, with the west London side heading into tomorrow's clash having taken four points from their last two games against Stoke and Barnsley respectively, in what has been a good end to a tough September for Frank's men.

They face a Bristol side who have also enjoyed a good run of form of late, with the Robins having picked up 16 points from an unbeaten run that they recently increased to eight games, after drawing 3-3 away at high flying Preston North End.

Despite Bristol's good form, Bees manager Frank was in a positive mood during his press conference this afternoon, with the former Brondby IF manager stating the following ahead of tomorrow nights game:

The Verdict

Brentford will be heading into their game against Bristol City with a spring in their step after claiming such a comfortable victory at Barnsley after recovering from going a goal down early on, with Frank's young side showcasing their powers of recovery.

These are words that well ring well with the Brentford fans, particularly after the Bees produced impressive performance away at Barnsley last weekend as winger come striker Ollie Watkins netted a brilliant hat-trick which included two clinical headed finishes, further showcasing how the forward has developed his game over the last few years.

The form of Watkins this season will also have gone a long way towards dealing with the blow of losing Neal Maupay to Brighton and Hove Albion this summer, with Frank making the bold decision to play the former Exeter City youngster as a striker so far paying off, as Watkins has scored an impressive seven goals in his first nine Championship games this season.

With their star man hitting form and Frank's positive attitude, Brentford fans have every reason to be optimistic about what the future holds for their side both this season and beyond.
