No matter what happens in the next month it's sure to be a very busy summer for Leeds United as they try to build a squad for next season.

If they win promotion, new faces will be needed to cope with the demands of Premier League football. Whereas, they could lose some key men if they're stuck in the Championship again.

However, either way, there's likely to be a fair few players who are going to be on the way out too.

And, one of those is sure to be Caleb Ekuban, the striker who is currently out on loan at Turkish top-flight side Trabzonspor.

He has done well with the club and reports from Turkey suggest he is keen on joining his current club on a permanent basis and that's a deal that will suit everyone, with a fee agreed already as part of the loan.

From Leeds' perspective, Ekuban didn't really settle in England and whilst it's harsh to dismiss a player after one season in a new league and country, he didn't convince at Elland Road.

There were few signs that he will come good and Marcelo Bielsa currently has Patrick Bamford, Kemar Roofe and Tyler Roberts, who are all better options.

Additionally, they have a lot of talented youngsters coming through the ranks and a return for Ekuban could block the progress of someone like Ryan Edmondson.

Finally, it will give Ekuban a chance to continue to get more game time, so this is a deal that we should expect to see sorted early on when the window opens.
