Leeds United are eyeing a move for Aston Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia, according to the Express and Star.

Would the 28-year-old Ivorian be a good signing for the Whites? Is he too injury-prone?

We discuss....

Chris Gallagher

This'd be one hell of a signing.

Leeds need a proper striker and Kodjia has shown since he arrived in England he can lead the line and score goals. Injuries would be a slight concern but at this level when he's on form there are few better number nines.

Jay Williams

Yes, this would be a fantastic signing for them - but only if he is fully fit.

The Ivory Coast international has not quite fully recovered from his long-term injury yet and proven that he can get back to his best.

But with pace, power and an eye for goal, he is one of the best strikers in the Championship if fully fit and he would be a very good alternative target for Leeds, now that they look to have missed out on Abel Hernandez and Matej Vydra.

Alfie Burns

If Leeds aren’t getting Vydra, then Kodjia could be a good alternative.

His history of injuries is a worry, though.

However, Leeds need to take a risk this summer, and if they can get Kodjia fit and firing, he’d be a strong addition.

Gary Hutchinson

Great signing at this level, he's not Vydra or Marriott but a year or two ago he was rated as highly.

He would be third prize in the eyes of Leeds fans, but he might just be exactly what they need. Yes, he would be a great acquisition.
