Derby County remain in the Championship play-off race, after a 3-3 draw with Brentford left Frank Lampard's side just outside the play-off spots, with seven matches of the season remaining.

Despite there being plenty still to play for this season Lampard has half an eye on next season with Aberdeen skipper Graeme Shinnie a target, according to the Sun on Sunday (April 7, Page 61).

Shinnie, 27, is out of contract in the summer but is drawing interest from Wigan Athletic also, having scored three goals and made two assists in 33 appearances from midfield this season.

So would Shinnie be a good signing for the Rams on a free?

We discuss........

Sam Rourke

"This'd be a useful signing.

"He's got a lot of experience and would complement what the Rams have already

"Though, at the same time, I just think Lampard should continue keeping it fresh and utilising younger talent, as too many players in that Derby team seem to be stagnating."

George Dagless

"Could be.

"Shinnie has plenty of experience and could add to a Derby side that is fairly young.

"Shinnie would be a decent signing."

Gary Hutchinson

“One minute it’s Luton, now it’s Derby.

“You can tell we’re getting to the end of the season, can’t you? The usual sources are throwing out the stories.

“He’d do a squad job at Derby, but maybe not a first team role.

Mind you, look at John McGinn. He wasn’t a stand out signing but he’s been super for Villa.”
