Despite still needing to appoint a new permanent manager, West Brom are not hanging about with their recruitment with Portsmouth winger Jamal Lowe a potential target, according to the Daily Star.

West Brom will not have it their own way though in their hunt for the 24-year-old, with Championship rivals Leeds United and Middlesbrough both in the hunt for the player.

So would Lowe prove a good signing for West Brom?

We discuss........

Toby Wilding

"It looks as though The Baggies are going to have to strengthen in attack, so this'd be a top deal.

"Lowe has been a key part of Portsmouth's promotion push this season, so it would be interesting to see if he can step up and do the same for West Brom next season.

"If he can, his record suggests he could help them back to the Premier League."

Gary Hutchinson

“He’s certainly worthy of a Championship place.

“I’m not sure West Brom are the best destination for him though.

“There’s something about the club that doesn’t sit right with me at the moment.

“How can a side without a manager look for players?”

Jacob Potter

"He’s a player that has a point to prove in the higher leagues.

"Lowe has been in excellent form for Pompey this season, and he was key to their top six finish.

"The Baggies need additional depth as they rebuild ahead of next season, and Lowe is more than capable of adjusting to the demands of Championship football."
