After two draws in their opening Championship fixtures, could Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray consider looking to the loan market to bolster his striking options?

With the trio of Danny Graham, Dom Samuel and Adam Armstrong providing the goalscoring options for the Ewood Park club, the addition of some additional fire power could add some competition for places.

The Sun's Alan Nixon is reporting that Blackburn are rivalling Stoke City for the loan signature of 6ft 3 Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham before the window closes.

Would Wickham be a good signing for Rovers?

We discuss.....

I've said in the past that Wickham isn't the sort of player I would want to see at a top Championship club, I stand by that.

He hasn't had enough impact previously to fire a side to the top flight.

For someone such as Blackburn, a team who missed out on a striker on deadline day and who aspire to be upper mid table, there's value here.

At 25 there's still more to come from Wickham, but anyone signing him hoping for a huge change in their fortunes might be disappointed.

Jay Williams

This'd be a superb signing for Blackburn and he is exactly what they need.

With Danny Graham and Adam Armstrong up front, Tony Mowbray has an experienced head and a pacey youngster to call upon.

Wickham offers a mixture of both, having played many games in the top two divisions.

When the 25-year-old is on form, he scores goals for fun and his 6ft 3in frame makes him an ideal target man up top so Blackburn will be hoping he steers clear of injuries if he joins.

George Dagless

He'd be a decent squad player but there's plenty of players that belong in front of him in the side.

Adam Armstrong and Danny Graham look ahead of him in the pecking order for starters so I can't see him playing straight away.

Jay Taylor

They’ve just signed Adam Armstrong, do they need him?

You could argue you can never have enough strikers, and Wickham would score a bundle of goals at Ewood Park should be move there.

With the service of Bradley Dack, it could be a potent pairing between the midfielder and the striker.

There is interest and you would imagine the Palace man would choose a side who are pushing for promotion.

Sam Rourke

Blackburn have three relatively strong options up-front, and I'm unsure Wickham would be the best option.

He's just too injury prone and i'm not convinced he'd be worth the money for Rovers.

He's missed too much football over the last few years, so i'd leave this one.
