Even though Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has a wealth of talent available to him and his side sit firmly on top of the Premier League, it would seem that the Spaniard is not sitting on his laurels, with teenage Sunderland star Bali Mumba supposedly in his sights, according to Alan Nixon in the Sun on Sunday (November 4th, Page 59).

City will have to battle it out with Chelsea for the player, who was watched by both clubs in his last outing for Sunderland in the FA Youth Cup.

So should City make a move for the skilful and hard running midfielder?

We discuss......

Mumba looks to be a fantastic prospect and would be a superb signing for the long term.

Guardiola likes using youth players, and under his development, he could be a fantastic player in the future.

Jay Taylor

This'd be a good signing, in all honesty.

Pep Guardiola likes to add youth to his side at times, usually during the cup competitions.

There is more of a path through to the first team at City, if you’re good enough, despite their riches, still prioritise the development of youth, especially with the recent upgrade to all their facilities.

George Dagless

Perhaps.

Mumba is a good player and could make it at the highest level.

He should stay at a club where he can play, though, and so I think Sunderland is the best place for him.
