Bristol City manager Lee Johnson will be bracing himself as interest mounts in his 20-year-old defender Lloyd Kelly, who has impressed in the Championship this season and has caught the eye of four Premier League clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur as reported in The Sun.

Kelly, an England U21 international, has been at the Robins since youth level and has firmly established himself in Lee Johnson's squad this season.

So would Kelly be a good signing for Spurs?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

It would be a good signing for the future.

Maurico Pochettino has given youngsters chances in his first-team squad this year at Spurs and Kelly could certainly challenge for a starting spot.

He would be a useful addition as well, given that he can play at either left-back or in the centre of defence.

It would be a shrewd bit of business for Tottenham if they were able to land the youngster’s signature in January.

Alfie Burns

This’d be a good move all round.

Spurs have a great reputation for promotion players like Kelly, and if a high-profile Premier League move is on the cards, North London is the place to go.

If Spurs are serious, they need to move fast, though.

Gary Hutchinson

Too young right now.

If he left for the PL, he’d be back on loan. That might work, but he’s not a first team player in the top flight.

He’d be better served staying with Lee Johnson’s side.
