Swansea City manager Graham Potter faces competition from Celtic in his attempts to sign 22-year-old Atalanta defender Timothy Castagne, according to an exclusive on Alfredopedulla.
The Swans though seem to be in the driving seat and have already opened talks with the Serie A outfit about taking the defender during this transfer window.
So would Castagne be a good signing for Swansea?
Very interesting indeed.
I always give a little more credibility to Swansea’ targets. Graham Potter intrigues me, he seems measured and certain of his club’s direction.
Normally this is the sort of signing I’d say no to, but for him and for Swansea, why not?
Castagne is a good defender and he has been linked with plenty of decent clubs like Lazio and Celtic.
I think he’d be a good signing if Swansea did bring him in.
This’d be a gamble.
Castagne has done well for Atalanta but there is no guarantee he will transfer that to the Championship.
But Graham Potter seems to have a good eye for a signing so it would be hard to not trust him.
