Despite missing out on the Championship play-offs his season, an eighth placed finish in an ultra competitive league is no mean feat for Bristol City this season.

For Robins manager Lee Johnson it will be a summer where he looks to prepare a squad, capable of taking the next step and challenging for a top six finish next season.

Johnson has his eye on Barnsley striker Kieffer Moore, who scored 17 goals in 31 appearances in what was a promotion winning season for Daniel Stendel's side, according to the print edition of The Sun (May 12, Page 59).

So would Moore be a good signing for the Robins?

We discuss........

Toby Wilding

"This would be a good signing.

"Moore was impressive for Barnsley before injury ruled him out for the latter part of the season. Bristol City need to improve their options up front and Moore would do just that.

"This would prove that rumours of a big summer at Ashton Gate are more than just talk."

Gary Hutchinson

“My first thought is what a huge blow this would be to Barnsley.

“Moore is a good striker, but I do have a concern.

“I worry he’s one of those who sits between two divisions.

“Too good for L1, but not quite there for Championship sides.”

George Brooks

"This'd be a class signing.

"He’s a very good player and has done very well for Barnsley in League One this season - he has a very good goal-scoring record too.

"I think he’s got what it takes to make the step up to the Championship and he'd be a great signing for the Robins, although Barnsley will not want to lose him."
