Leeds United are in the race to secure a move for AFC Fylde midfielder Serhat Tesdemir, with Leicester also keen on the 17-year-old, according to the Daily Star.

Is this the type of player Leeds need to be going for? Would it be a good signing?

We discuss....

George Dagless

This'd be a big, big gamble.

Saying that, though, the National League is only ever improving in quality and AFC Fylde have got good side.

This guy is a few years short of being 20 and already looks a cut above the lower leagues so it might be worth taking a punt and seeing how he progresses.

Jay Williams

Leeds are clearly keen on their recruitment drive in the youth team and this is exactly the sort of player they should be looking at.

The 17-year-old already has quite a number of first-team games under his belt at National League level, which will prepare him well for when he eventually needs to step up to first-team football at Elland Road.

Tasdemir might be young but the teenager is already making strides at AFC Fylde with five goals from the left-wing already in his career and his potential is clearly very appealing to a number of top teams.

Alfie Burns

The 17-year-old is earning himself quite the reputation, with a host of clubs chasing his signature.

For Leeds, I feel it would be a positive for them to sign him this summer.

A lot of focus has been going on strengthening the academy at Elland Road, and agreeing a deal for Tasdemir could be another step towards a promising future for the Whites.
