Anthony Pilkington used Twitter to congratulate everyone involved with Cardiff in a remarkable season.

Cardiff drew with Reading on the last day to finish in the second automatic promotion spot after Fulham were unable to take advantage because they lost 3-1 to Birmingham City. This was Neil Warnock's eighth promotion as a manager, which shows his expertise and he was the main reason why they were able to achieve this.

There were periods when it looked like the Bluebirds would come undone near the end as they had a three game spell at the beginning of April where they only picked up one point and they lost their game in hand against Derby. However, they did enough to cross the line and they now have the reward of Premier League football waiting for them.

Pilkington had a limited role in the team because he only made eight league appearances but scored three goals with one being a crucial equaliser against Sheffield United.
