Wolves are weighing up a bold transfer swoop for AC Milan striker Andre Silva, with Arsenal also keen on his signature, according to the Daily Mirror.

Would this audacious potential signing be good for Wolves? Or should they look elsewhere?

We discuss.....

What a signing that could be for Wolves.

It might seem ambitious for a Championship club to be looking at an AC Milan striker, but such is the financial clout of the Premier League these days that the move is highly likely.

Given the Portugal connections and the fact Silva's agents are Gestifute, I'd say this isn't a shock swoop at all, but an almost inevitable one.

This would be very eye-catching.

I do, however, think Wolves should perhaps look elsewhere if they want to spend big on a top signing.

Silva is a great talent who could become exceptional but he has struggled at Milan - especially in the league - and so would represent a risk.

He could be excellent if he signs for Wolves but his year in Italy should make the Old Gold think carefully.

Alfie Burns

Going forward I do think that Wolves need to add another striker to their squad, despite Benik Afobe’s form.

Silva is a great young talent and if Wolves can get him it will be a major show of their ambition and a statement to where the club are heading.

Exciting times at Molineux.
