QPR are in the race to secure a deal for Scunthorpe midfielder Funso Ojo, according to the Daily Mirror [live blog entry 12:17, 30/01/18].

The 26-year-old midfield enforcer has been a fundamental cog in the Iron's midfield this season, and it is no surprise to see interest in the player from the Championship.

Would this be a good signing for Ian Holloway's QPR?

We discuss.....

Sam Preston

He looks like the kind of player QPR go for.

The budget for Holloway to improve his squad is not massive and lower league games are key.

At the right price, this looks a good move.

Chris Gallagher

This would be a very good signing.

The R's desperately need to beef up their squad and they don't have the budget to go out and buy established, proven players.

Instead, Ian Holloway will have to scour the lower leagues and he has found a few gems there over the years. And, Ojo could be the next one.

Alfie Burns

This would be a shrewd addition by Holloway, who will be desperate to beat his Championship rivals to the midfielder’s signature.

Ojo has been a key part of Scunthorpe’s form this season, and having the midfielder arrive at Loftus Road would give QPR a positive ending to the transfer window.

Holloway should be keen.

George Dagless

It'd be a good signing.

Ojo is in form and he'd potentially form a decent partnership with Massimo Luongo in the R's midfield.

The men from Loftus Road need to tighten up to avoid the relegation battle and so it's worth a punt if they can do it financially.
