Wayne Routledge is likely to leave Swansea this summer and a loan return to former club QPR could be on the cards, according to Alan Nixon of the Sun.

Swansea winger Wayne Routledge is looking set to leave the Liberty Stadium with QPR a potential destination.

Routledge has already represented The Hoops during two separate spells with the club, and helped the R's to the Championship title in 2011 under then manager Neil Warnock.

So would the signing of Routledge be a good move for the R's?

We discuss.....

Anyone is a good signing for Steve McClaren at present, they've got no wins in two and in truth, they've not faced the top sides yet.

Routledge is past being an exciting talent and is perhaps more a steady pro now, but they have to bring people in with experience.

Players such as Ebere Eze are going to be incredible, if they're developed correctly and in Routledge, QPR would be getting a player who has 'been there, done that.

Would he have enough in the tank to reverse their fortunes single-handed? Maybe not, but they need experience and therefore this would be a good capture.

Jay Williams

Routledge's vast experience in the top two divisions immediately improves QPR's squad options.

Although he might not be the same player he was during his previous two spells with the Hoops, Routledge still offers plenty of legs out wide and the ability to score goals.

QPR desperately need some wise old heads in their ranks to help see through this next generation of talented youngsters.

The likes of Paul Smyth, Ryan Manning, Eberechi Eze and Bright Osayi-Samuel will benefit from Routledge's knowledge of the game.

George Dagless

It's worth a go.

He's got good players has Steve McClaren but he's not got enough experience in the side for what looks set to be a tough year.

Routledge would bring some good knowledge to the side and that's what the R's need.

Jay Taylor

It would certainly add quality and he is somewhat of a hero down Loftus Road.

The 33-year-old isn’t going to play at Swansea and a move away would allow him to play first team football as he enters the twilight of his career.

Steve McClaren needs experience and he will undoubtedly add that. A loan would only benefit both the Rs and the player.

Sam Rourke

QPR need some experience in their first-team ranks, so this would be a top signing.

Routledge is no stranger to Loftus Road having had two stints there.

The R's team is flooded with young talent and bringing in a wise-head like Routledge would be a wise move from Steve McClaren.
