Leeds United are being linked with a January swoop for Huddersfield Town left-back Scott Malone.

The defender was sensational during Fulham's fantastic campaign last season, and his performances earned him a move to Premier League outfit Huddersfield in the summer.

However, Malone has found game-time hard to come by at the Terriers, and it's not a surprise to see Leeds linked with a move, as the left-back position is something that needs to be improved at the club.

The writers here at FLW have had their say on this transfer rumour.....

George Dagless

This would be a top signing.

Malone was signed by Huddersfield in the summer from Fulham after a top campaign but has not had the start he would have liked in the Premier League.

He could be up for a move away and Leeds need another left-back in my eyes so this one is a deal that ticks a lot of boxes.

Chris Gallagher

Make it happen Radrizzani!

Malone is finding game time hard to come by at Huddersfield and would surely be up for a switch across Yorkshire to Leeds.

Thomas Christiansen needs a natural left-back and he would fit in effortlessly. What's more, his attacking game is ideal for the way the new boss wants to play - he would be a fantastic signing.

Adam Simeoni

Most certainly.

Malone was fantastic in an extremely exciting Fulham side last year, and things haven't quite worked out for him in the Premier League with Huddersfield.

The player could make a big difference to Christiansen's side during their expected promotion run-in, so a move should really be in the pipeline for the Whites.

Alfie Burns

Left-back is certainly an area that Leeds need to address in Janaury, and there was nobody better in the Championship last season than Malone.

Malone is struggling for opportunities with Huddersfield, but having only arrived there over the summer, it is unclear whether the Premier League outfit would be willing to let him leave.

Leeds have nothing to lose, and should at least make an attempt to sign the 26-year-old.
