Liverpool have opened talks with Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon’s representatives as they look to secure a deal for the coveted youngster, according to an exclusive report by Anfield Edition.

Would this be a good signing for Jurgen Klopp's side? Should Fulham do all they can to keep him?

We discuss....

Jay Williams

This would be a statement of intent from Liverpool if they could beat the major European clubs to sign Sessegnon. But where would he fit in at Anfield?

With Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane established as a front three, Sessegnon might be forced back to left back, where his creative spark and goal scoring prowess would not be showcased.

Ben Barkworth

Sessegnon would be a good signing for any Premier League club due to the raw ability he already possesses as well as his high talent ceiling.

Liverpool's system is different to what he is used to, but it could suit him due to his awareness and intelligent movement off the ball.

Alfie Burns

Sessegnon is the best prospect outside the Premier League, and whoever signs him will be getting their hands on a top, top player.

For Liverpool, it would be magnificent to land Sessegnon, but for me, I think the teenager would be better elsewhere.

His style of play might suit Jurgen Klopp’s side, but he’d be a better fit at Spurs.

Gary Hutchinson

Ryan Sessegnon is going to be a wonderful player who performs right at the top level, so a move to Liverpool would of course but a good one.

I'd like to see him stay in England and Liverpool are a top club who play the game the right way.

Chris Gallagher

It would be a great move for the player.

Jurgen Klopp is known for giving younger players a chance and that's what Sessegnon needs to prioritise when leaving Fulham.

However, if the Cottagers are promoted I think his career would benefit from staying in West London.

George Dagless

It'd be a great deal for the Reds.

Liverpool are gradually becoming a side top players want to join again thanks to the Champions League.

They still need to qualify for next season but this potential deal shows they're heading in the right direction.

Few managers are going to be able to extract the potential Sessegnon as than Klopp, though I still think the player might be best staying at Fulham a little longer.
