New Stoke City manager Nathan Jones is moving quickly to strengthen his squad, with Ipswich Town defender Jonas Knudsen a player the Potters are being linked with in this transfer window, according to a report in the EADT.

The Potters will face competition for the 26-year-old Dane's signature, with Tony Pulis at Middlesbrough keen on taking the player to the Riverside.

So would Knudsen be a good addition to the Potters squad?

We discuss.....

Jacob Potter

"He could be a useful signing for Stoke going forward this season.

"They need extra depth in defence, and Knudsen would provide them with that.

"With his experience of playing in the Championship, he would be the ideal player to have in the Stoke squad, with a number players struggling to adapt to life in the Championship."

Chris Gallagher

"This would be a very good signing.

"Left-back is a problem area for the Potters and a new addition is needed.

"In Knudsen they would be signing a reliable player at this level and his contract situation means he should be available at a knockdown price."

Jay Taylor

“This would be a solid acquisition; he would be a player that would suit Stoke’s new style of play under Nathan Jones.

“The 26-year-old is at the peak of his powers and with Ipswich in the depth of a relegation battle, then he could be eyeing a move away to be in this division next year.

“It would be another option for Stoke who are light in some areas and could turn out to be a bargain should be move to the Potteries.”
