Leeds United are in the race to secure a deal for Rangers attacking midfielder Josh Windass, according to the Daily Record.

The 24-year-old has been impressive for the SPFL side this season and his displays have seemingly caught the attention of the Yorkshire outfit.

Would Windass be a good signing for Thomas Christiansen's side?

We discuss.....

Sam Preston

He’s a quality prospect.

This would be his biggest move yet and he would need time to make the step up but he is a very good player and crucially, he has the quality to unlock defences.

Buying from Scotland tends to be fairly cheap these days and Leeds will fancy themselves to grab a bargain.

Alfie Burns

Windass is a player who I think would improve Christiansen’s options at Elland Road, with the 24-year-old an exciting attacking midfielder.

Having played at Rangers, he would be able to deal with the expectancy of the Elland Road crowd and will have had good guidance from his Dad.

Leeds aren’t desperate for a player like Windass, with other positions a priority, however, if the whites can strike a deal, it would have to be seen as a positive.

Chris Gallagher

This would be a real shrewd signing.

A lot of fans in England tend to dismiss the SPL but Windass is showing his quality regularly now.

He brings excitement and creativity when he plays and is capable of beating players and finding a killer pass.

With Saiz suspended, he could be the perfect replacement and when the Spaniard's back the pair could form a devastating partnership.

George Dagless

I think he'd be decent but not exactly what they need.

In my mind Windass likes to play a little deeper as a forward and Leeds more need someone who is going to get on the shoulder.

He'd be a decent signing, but I think the club would need another forward too.
