Celtic's Stuart Armstrong is a man in demand with a number of clubs keeping tabs on the Scottish midfielder, including Championship outfit West Brom, according to the Daily Record.

Would the 26-year-old be a wise signing for Darren Moore's West Brom? Is he the type of player the Baggies need to earn promotion?

We discuss....

George Dagless

Armstrong is a good player and one that would boost the club without doubt.

Celtic would probably want to keep him but if the Baggies gave them a good offer I could see them accepting it.

He wasn't as vital for the Bhoys in 17/18 as in 16/17 and with the players they've got in his position it might go through.

Chris Gallagher

This would be a fantastic signing.

Armstrong has had an injury-hit campaign but 12 months ago he was one of the best players in Scotland.

He is good on the ball, makes intelligent runs and scores a lot of goals, which is why there was, and still is, Premier League interest.

To bring him to the Championship would be a major coup.

Alfie Burns

This could be a pretty shrewd addition for West Brom.

Armstrong has been good for Celtic, but a move to the Championship could be of interest to the 26-year-old.

West Brom will be cautious of paying over the odds for a player who has only ever played in Scotland, but if Moore can get a good price it could be a good deal.

Jay Williams

If the Baggies can beat the Premier League boys to Armstrong's signature, then this would be a real marquee signing.

Finances shouldn't be an issue for West Brom, who will be armed with the parachute payments and any funds raised from player sales.

But can they convince Armstrong to play second tier football in England?

If they sell him a project, then the talented midfielder would surely be a central figure in their promotion push.
