Sheffield United have submitted an enquiry in an attempt to sign Chelsea midfielder Kasey Palmer, according to the Daily Mail.

Would the 21-year-old be a good signing for Chris Wilder's side?

We discuss....

Christian Fuller

After helping the Terriers survive and reaching the play-offs with Derby this season, Sheffield United might find it hard to land their target.

But, if they can secure the youngster’s signature, albeit on loan, it may well just be one of the signings of the summer.

Jay Williams

This would be a fantastic coup for the Blades.

Not only does Palmer offer creativity and flair in midfield, he also has experience of competing for promotion.

With a play-off victory at Huddersfield and a top six finish at Derby under his belt, the youngster knows how to achieve success in this division.

Ben Barkworth

Palmer would be a good addition for United because he brings the added bit of innovation in central areas and has plenty of experience at this level from his time with Derby and Huddersfield.

George Dagless

Potentially a great deal.

Blades now need players that can get them promoted to build on this season and Palmer has the ability to do that.

He'll need to play more than he did at Derby but, if he does, he could be a very strong arrival.

Chris Gallagher

A great signing.

He has that bit of quality that the Blades lacked at times in the run-in.

If Wilder gives him the freedom to play and express himself he could be a star in this league.

Alfie Burns

Palmer is a good player, who will improve most squads in the Championship, particularly Sheffield United.

My only concern with this is where does Palmer fit into Wilder’s 3-5-2?

Sheffield United’s recruitment needs to be built around players to fit into that system, which I don’t think Palmer does.
