It was revealed by the Evening Standard yesterday that Robert Snodgrass would give his all if a second chance at West Ham came his way.

The winger currently finds himself on loan at promotion chasing Aston Villa, and he's been a key cog in the Villans' team.

Manager Steve Bruce will surely want to keep hold of the former Hull City man going forward, but this latest revelation could hamper any potential permanent deal.

Is this news a big blow for Aston Villa or not?

We discuss....

George Dagless

It would be a real blow to Villa.

Snodgrass has been a key component in their promotion challenge this season and would be vital to adapting to the top flight.

If he moves on, then, the club is going to have to find a very good replacement.

Adam Simeoni

Losing Snodgrass would be a huge disappointment for Villa given his recent form, but promotion would surely draw others to the club should he depart.

The player has become a popular figure in recent months, but another hero will undoubtedly make a name for himself at Villa Park.

Sign him if they can, but if the player wishes to return to West Ham then there is not much Steve Bruce can do.

Alfie Burns

This will be a big blow for Villa – whatever division they find themselves in next season.

Snodgrass has been excellent this season and Bruce will want him to sign permanently in the summer.

It’s surprising to hear that Snodgrass is considering giving his West Ham career another opportunity, as he looked like he had found a home at Villa Park.
