Many fans wouldn't have predicted Norwich City to be sat top of the Championship table heading into the November international break - but they have proved themselves to be real contenders for the title this season.

The Canaries are on an impressive run of form which has seen them rise to the top of the table, and with Daniel Farke's side winning their last five league games, they are certainly the form side in the Championship in recent weeks.

That good form has largely been down to the clinical goalscoring record of summer signing, Teemu Pukki, who has already netted ten goals in his debut season in England.

But his good form hasn't gone unnoticed, with a European giant reportedly chasing his signature when the transfer window reopens in January.

According to Gunes, Galatasaray have emerged as a surprise potential destination for the Finnish striker. It is understood that the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions sent a scout to watch Pukki during Saturday’s dramatic Championship clash against Millwall and they will no doubt have been impressed with his performance.

The striker netted a brace, including the last-gasp winner which saw the Canaries retain top spot heading into the international break.

If Pukki is to keep up his excellent run of form, then he is sure to have a number of clubs chasing him in January, but Canaries fans will be hoping he can spearhead their charge to the Premier League this season after a hugely successful start to life at Norwich.

The Verdict:

This potential deal does come as a surprise, especially given that Pukki only signed for Norwich in the summer of 2018.

But his record does speak for itself and he has wasted no time in finding his feet in the Championship, and could definitely be playing at a higher level.

Pukki would have to consider his development going forward if he was to move to Galatasaray, as it is unlikely that he would be the first-choice striker at the Turkish club.
