Aston Villa will be looking to add to their squad where possible in the final weeks of the loan window as they aim to keep their promotion hopes alive.

The men from Villa Park have started this season in decent fashion despite the amount of issues there were over the summer and fans will hope that they can now kick on.

Certainly, it would seem fair to assume that they are looking to bring in new faces but one man that will not be coming in is Yannick Bolasie by the looks of things.

Indeed, according to Birmingham Live, the winger does not fancy a move down to the Championship with it apparent that Everton do not want him.

This news, then, will surely leave Villa fans disappointed but, at the same time, perhaps unsurprised.

If they were in the top flight they'd be able to sign him no doubt thanks to their size but that is not the case - they remain a second-tier side.

And, though, Bolasie is not wanted by Everton, that does not mean he is not good enough for the Premier League or another top division - and he clearly knows that.

He'd have been a fine player for Villa - there can't be much doubt about that - but fans aren't going to see it anytime soon and, though disappointing, that was perhaps to be expected.
