Bersant Celina is looking like a fine talent so far at Swansea City and can only get better.

“I think there’s more to come from him – I am sure he would say the same – but he is influencing the game more and more for us.”

His manager Graham Potter spoke in very high esteem of his midfielder recently, with Swansea using Celina to good effect many times this season.

The Kosovo international spent last season on loan at Ipswich, scoring eight goals in 38 appearances for Mick McCarthy’s side.

Many of those goals were audacious strikes from distance, often winning the ‘goal of the month’ at Portman Road.

Despite this, he lacked the ability to consistently influence games.

The Manchester City star made the permanent move to the Liberty Stadium this summer and was believed to be highly rated by City boss Pep Guardiola.

Now, just months into his Swansea career, he looks like the sort of player that can constantly impact games in his sides favour.

Swansea have looked like promotion candidates at times this season and Bersant Celina has been central to a lot of that.

Celina has started nearly every Championship fixture so far this season and is winning the praises of many in the Liberty Stadium.

Starting centrally instead of out wide, the young Kosovan can now influence games more and start winning his side points.

If he continues in this trajectory, Celina is set for a big future in a top division.
