There has been plenty of change at Elland Road this summer with Garry Monk departing to join Middlesbrough and former APOEL boss Thomas Christiansen arriving at the club.

The Whites have been busy in the transfer window, bringing in a number of players including Mateusz Klich, Vurnon Anita, Samu Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski.

While Leeds' transfer business is not yet complete, their first team squad is looking in decent shape ahead of the new season.

The Yorkshire based club could do with another defender (preferably a left back) and a back-up striker.

As well as bolstering their first team options, Leeds should be looking to fill their squad with promising young players for the future.

If they scour the lower leagues, they should be able to find the next big thing.

That search could lead them to Crewe Alexandra, where they would find George Cooper.

The talented starlet is an attacking midfielder, who can also play as a central midfielder, and he has bags of potential.

The 20-year-old already has over 100 senior games under his belt, despite his young age, and he has bagged fourteen goals.

In pre-season, he has been the standout player for the Railwaymen and is already looking too good to be playing League Two standard.

With just one year left on his contract, Cooper is bound to be targeted by a number of clubs this summer and in January again.

Leeds could swoop and bring him in initially as a back-up player for their attacking midfield options or send him back to Crewe on loan for the year.

With so much promise, the left-footed midfielder would be a fantastic signing for Leeds.
