Leeds United have had a third bid rejected for Southampton striker Che Adams, including an option to buy for £20Million in the summer if Leeds clinch promotion this season.

Leeds are looking to add more firepower to their squad after losing Eddie Nketiah, who returned to Arsenal after a lack of playing time in the first half of the season. This has left Leeds with a huge gap in the squad as Patrick Bamford is the only senior striker that Marcelo Bielsa has to select.

In an attempt to add more goals, the Whites have turned their attention to Saints’ striker Che Adams and have been dogged in their pursuit of him this month. He has been the top priority this month but the Whites seem to be set to miss out on the former Birmingham forward this month.

The Yorkshire Evening Post is now reporting that Leeds have had a third bid for Adams rejected by Southampton, which included an option to buy him in the summer for a whopping £20Million if Leeds seal their promotion back to the Premier League.

Leeds have been in this position before under Marcelo Bielsa as they battled with Swansea over the signing of Daniel James last January only for it to collapse in the last minute, leaving Leeds very light of options in the second half of the season.

Adams is still thought to be part of Ralph Hasenhuttl’s plans at St. Mary’s this season and he came on to help the Saints to a crucial 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last night to lift them into the top half of the Premier League.
