Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa will be looking over his squad from top to bottom during the latest transfer window, as he looks to assemble a group of players capable of maintaining their promotion push over the second half of the season.

Whilst bringing in new recruits is an option, Bielsa needs to look at what he already has and where necessary offer new deals to his key players to he ensures their future at the club.

A player in that bracket is young forward Jack Clarke whose stock has risen, since making his first team debut back in October, and he now has four unnamed Premier League sides keen on taking him in the January window according to Football Insider.

So do Leeds need to hand Clarke a new deal ASAP?

We discuss.....

Louie Chandler

"I don't think so.

"At 18-years-old they have got to trust that he will stay loyal to the Whites and with his current deal not expiring until 2021 they can afford to wait.

"If the club were to say they would offer him a new deal then say nothing on the matter for weeks, it would cause a worse situation than simply not offering him one."

Gary Hutchinson

“Yes, 100%

"He needs to be tied down for a long time.

"The danger of not doing so is highlighted by Josh Maja at Sunderland.

"If you don’t give these young players a good deal and they succeed, you could lose them.”

Alfie Burns

“These rumours of Premier League clubs circling are worrying and Leeds need to make sure the player’s head isn’t turned.

“Clarke deserves fresh terms, there’s no two ways about it. He’s having a brilliant impact and that should be recognised.

“It should be a priority this month for Leeds.”

Jay Taylor

“This should be a matter of urgency at Elland Road.

“The big guns are circling, and the only way to ward off any such interest is to offer the young man a new deal.

“If they act too slowly, then Clarke’s head could be turned – so moving to secure his long-term future should be a priority for Marcelo Bielsa and Leeds United."
