As Huddersfield Town's fairytale season continues following a dramatic penalty shoot-out victory over Sheffield Wednesday in the play-off semi-final, the dream of Premier League football is becoming more and more of a reality.

In the summer, whatever league that Huddersfield Town are in next season, David Wagner will want to build on the success that they have had this season.

As a lack of goals have been the only slight blemish on what has been an incredible season for the West Yorkshire side, David Wagner may look to use the summer to find the prolific goalscorer who could take Huddersfield Town to the next level.

Having been linked with the West Yorkshire side in the past, the prolific goalscorer that David Wagner may be looking for could well be VfB Stuttgart's striker Simon Terodde.

After scoring 41 goals in two seasons at VfL Bochum, Simon Terodde was linked with a move away from Bochum potentially to David Wagner's Huddersfield Town side.

However, he instead opted to move to recently relegated 2.Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart where he continued to replicate his prolific goal-scoring feats as he scored more than twenty goals for the second consecutive season.

The impressive feat saw him take his goal tally up to 60 goals in just three seasons.

Given the consistency and prolific nature of 29-year-old striker, Simon Terrode has been tipped by some for a call up to the national side.

Despite missing out on Simon Terodde last summer, Huddersfield Town should rekindle their interest or at the very least have the German striker on their radar.

Even though Simon Terrode doesn't exactly match Huddersfield Town's usual recruitment criteria at the age of 29, he should be the exception to the rule as he has shown over the past three seasons, just how prolific he can be when provided with service.

With the potential attraction of Premier League, Huddersfield Town may be in a stronger position to bring the prolific German striker to England.

Huddersfield fans, would you like to see Simon Terodde join your club? Do you think he would be as much of a success in England? Could he be the missing piece of the puzzle? Let us hear your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below!
